James T. Ubertalli, DMD
James T. Ubertalli, DMD is a magna cum laude graduate of Tufts Dental School, receiving awards for achievement in cosmetic and general dentistry and membership in the national honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Following his doctorate he completed his first residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry while serving with distinction in the US Army Dental Corps. He then began an association with the American Heart Association as an instructor of Advanced Cardiac Life Support and certification in Advanced Trauma and Life Support. He earned his specialty certificate in periodontics and implant dentistry from New York University and the New York VA Medical Center. He held an appointment as an assistant professor of periodontics at Tuft University and served as a clinical instructor of periodontal and implant surgery at New York University. He is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and maintains close associations with his colleagues in the care of his patients utilizing the latest technologies including the iTero laser impression system, cone beam tomography and CAD/CAM guided surgery. He maintains a private practice in Hingham, Massachusetts.
His professional affiliations include the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, the Massachusetts Dental Society and Massachusetts Periodontal Society for which he serves the board as past-president.
He is the dental editor of the Merck Manuals’ Professional, Home and Online editions and has written numerous professional articles. As an Eagle Scout, he enjoys the outdoors and sharing time with his wife and two children
